About

As a sociolinguist, I critically explore how language reflects, reinforces, or contests social inequalities, in the online and offline worlds. Passionate about linguistics, open science, and research-led, student-driven higher education, I am a researcher dedicated to exploring how language shapes—and is shaped by—our interconnected world. With a PhD in Linguistics and a specialized focus on multilingualism and language ideologies, I bring an interdisciplinary approach to understanding linguistic practices in transnational spaces, where the very notion of ‘language’ is being called into question.

NB: This blog served as a reflective space for my teaching and writing practices between 2017 and 2022. During that time, I used it to explore ideas, document experiences, and engage with topics central to my academic work. While it is less frequently updated now, it remains a snapshot of my evolving thoughts and methods during those years.
